To ensure the Day of the Dead celebration takes place, La Catrina must race against time this year. Calaquita helps her, though he still doesn’t understand the customs of the dead. Even so, together they manage to get the party started. A colorful celebration of Mexico’s rich culture, history, and the traditions of Día de los Muertos, where families build private altars decorated with photos, candles, and the favorite foods of the departed.
